The Sacramento Pop Choir is a club for people of all ages who love pop music. It started about six years ago and attracts singers of all ages. There are no auditions. No experience is necessary.
You just sign up and show up with a desire to learn and a collaborative spirit. Heather Waid is the choir’s artistic director. Waid said, “We do pop music and each session has a theme.
We’ve done everything from Kelly Clarkson to Metallica.” The theme for the next session is “True Colors.” Want to make new friends? Love to sing? Consider joining the Pop Choir. “There are very few opportunities to sing in public as an adult and this fills that need,” Waid said.
The choir meets once a week for 10 weeks at McClatchy High School. The fee is $180. Sign up here. The spring session will take place from March 25 to May 27 and will culminate with a concert on May 31.
